Richard grew up in South Texas splitting time between Little League diamonds and CRT televisions. Two decades later, that same competitive instinct — and a love of what disciplined coaching can unlock — became Ivy League Gaming.
After coaching community teams for years and watching gifted players plateau for lack of structure, Richard formalized the academy in 2019 with one guiding idea: treat esports the way great schools treat athletics — with rigor, respect and a plan.
Consistent, unglamorous reps outperform flashy grind sessions every single time.
Whether or not you go pro, mastering something hard is a life skill worth investing in.
The person always matters more than the leaderboard. Kindness scales.
We coach with data, VODs and measurable outcomes — not vibes or hot takes.

Ivy League Gaming stays intentionally lean. Richard personally reviews every coach we bring on board, and every new player starts with an intake session so we can pair them with the right mentor from day one.
Our headquarters sits on quiet acreage in Floresville, Texas, but most sessions happen where players already are — online, on their setups, at hours that fit around school and life.
