Common questions

Everything clients ask on the first call.

If a question you have isn’t here, send it to us. We’ll add it.

  • Where is Ivy League Gaming based?+

Our office is at 800 Viking Cir, Bellingham, WA 98229. We work with clients across the United States and remotely with partners in Canada and the EU.

  • Who owns the company?+

Ryland Rocchio is the founder and managing partner. He has led every engagement we've shipped since 2019.

  • What size of client do you work with?+

From regional brands with a $25k pilot budget to enterprise marketing teams running multi-million-dollar annual gaming programs, plus colleges and universities standing up varsity esports.

  • Do you only work with esports brands?+

No. Most of our clients are non-endemic — beverage, apparel, hospitality, education, regional sports. The whole point of our agency is helping non-gaming brands enter the gaming audience credibly.

  • What does a first engagement usually look like?+

A two- to four-week diagnostic. We learn your business, audit any prior gaming work, and deliver a written recommendation. About 70% of diagnostics convert into a longer engagement.

  • How do you price?+

Fixed-fee for production and diagnostics. Monthly retainer for ongoing programs. Performance-tied compensation is available on activation work where the KPI is clean and attributable.

  • Do you produce events outside the Pacific Northwest?+

Yes. We've shipped events in Seattle, Portland, Boise, Denver, Austin, and Atlanta. Travel and per-diem are quoted line-by-line, never hidden.

  • Can you work with our existing media agency?+

Often, yes. We're happy to plug into an existing AOR relationship as the gaming specialist on the team.

  • How quickly can you start?+

Diagnostics typically begin within two weeks of a signed SOW. Larger productions need 8–16 weeks of lead time depending on venue and broadcast scope.

  • Do you sign NDAs?+

Always. Send yours over with the intro email and we'll counter-sign before the first call.

  • Do you build in-game content (skins, maps, items)?+

We don't build assets ourselves, but we have trusted partner studios in Seattle and Vancouver and can manage that workstream end-to-end.

  • How do you measure success?+

Every engagement starts with a written success memo: the two or three numbers we will be judged on. Dashboards report against those, no vanity metrics.

  • What games do you specialize in?+

Valorant, League of Legends, Rocket League, Counter-Strike 2, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, EA FC, and Madden. We brief in on others when client need is real.

  • Do you handle prize fulfillment and tax forms?+

Yes. Prize disbursement, W-9/W-8BEN collection, and 1099 issuance are part of every tournament contract.

  • What's the best way to reach the team?+

    Email bing@ivyleaguegaming.com or call +1 (360) 522-5244 during business hours (Mon–Fri, 9–6 PT). New-business inquiries get a same-day reply.
